LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More bike lanes are coming to Louisville and the city wants to know where you think they should go.

A handful of people showed up at a public meeting Monday to share feedback. The plan is to add bike lanes to Sixth Street from River Road south to Zane Street.

People behind the project say there are plenty of bike lanes traveling from east to west, but not as many going north and south.

"This process is finding out from businesses what they need from the facility," Mike Sewell, an engineer on the project said. "We just learned about the needs of the Muhammad Ali center that may influence some of decisions being made today. So that's what this process is about."

The project is set to start later in September.

There's another public meeting planned for Friday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at the Old Louisville Information Center in Central Park.
