LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Some Louisville Sluggers tried to outweigh a bull Thursday.
In the first-of-its-kind weigh in to ring in the PBR Unleash the Beast event at the Louisville KFC Yum! Center this weekend, one of the greatest bulls to ever go on tour tried to outweigh a bundle of bats.
Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory provided the bats to see just how many it would take to outweigh Mike's Motive.
Mike's Motive weighed in at 1,480 pounds, while the bats came in at 880 pounds.
"The bats came up a little short today, but that just shows you how big these bulls are that we are getting on every weekend and the strength that them bulls have," Daylon Swearingan, 2022 PBR World Champion rider, said.
The bull riding competition is happening Friday, March 14 at 7:45 p.m. and Saturday, March 15 at 6:45 p.m. at the KFC Yum Center.
