LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Zoo will have animatronic dinosaurs this summer.
Dinopalooza will open May 17 at the zoo on Trevilian Way. The 19 animatronic giants from the prehistoric era will be at the zoo through Sept. 1.
I know a lot of people of all ages from around the region are going to be very excited about this latest attraction at the Louisville Zoo," Mayor Craig Greenberg said in a news release Tuesday. "From a chance to see life-size dinosaurs to digging for fossils, Dinopalooza has something every family can enjoy."
According to a news release, there will be a 65-foot long Brachiosaurus, a 40-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex and a 30-foot-long Parasaurolophus.
Dinopalooza is included with Zoo admission and free for zoo members.

The Louisville Zoo is open daily. From now until Sept. 21, the zoo is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but people can stay until 6 p.m.
