LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Crowds gathered at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville on Saturday for its season opener.
Guests now have the opportunity to enjoy more than 70 rides and attractions and mobile ordering from their dining stands.
New this season, Kentucky Kingdom will open its latest rollercoaster, Flying Fox, later this month.
In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10, the Louisville amusement park is helping moms feel special.
"The first 300 moms that come to the park will get free soft drink and and a Flying Fox cup," said Logan Sanderson, Kentucky Kingdom Marketing Manager. "We'll also have other fun stations throughout the park like coloring so you can make a card for mom as well as cinnamon rolls."
Also new this year, guests can catch five new live entertainment shows beginning Saturday, May 23, which is also when Hurricane Bay waterpark opens.

Kentucky Kingdom is reminding people to find alternate routes to get to the amusement park during the Interstate 65 closure.
