LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Louisville residents kicked off Black History Month with a "Hike For History."
More than 100 people signed up for the event. Participants gathered at the Brown-Forman Silo Center, located at 8703 Stout Rd, for the unity hike.

It lasted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The event was a chance to celebrate with neighbors and remember the inspiring people who came before us.
Everyone who participated in the unity walk was encouraged to bring signs. They also got a free lunch.
The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods partnered with "Black Azz Camping," the Anti-violence Coalition of St. Dennis, Change Today, Change Tomorrow, and other local organizations to host the event.
