LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital after a crash in Elizabethtown.
Officer Chris Denham, a spokesperson for the Elizabethtown Police Department, said police were called to the 2000 block of North Mulberry Street on a report of a serious crash around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators believe a Dodge Caravan carrying four men was headed east on North Mulberry Street when the driver attempted to turn left into the parking lot of a Super 8 Hotel.
But police said the van failed to yield the right-of-way to a Dodge truck that was headed west on North Mulberry Street. The front of the truck hit the side of the van during the collision.
Denham said one of the men in the van suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to UofL Hospital in downtown Louisville.
The three other passengers in the van had minor injuries. Police said the man driving the Dodge truck didn't report any injuries.
