LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was shot and killed Thursday night in Louisville's California neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to a shooting in the 1600 block of Garland Avenue just before 10 p.m. Thursday night.

When they arrived, they found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified him Friday as 38-year-old Jashaun Brown.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
