LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Hardin County man is facing child sexual abuse charges after police said he tried to meet up with a minor.
Kentucky State Police arrested 51-year-old Christopher Barnes in an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation that began in Santa Claus, Indiana.
KSP troopers got a tip from the Santa Claus, Indiana Police Department about a man, identified as Barnes, trying to "procure" a minor on the internet.
Police served a search warrant Tuesday at Barnes' home in Glendale, Kentucky, and seized equipment used in the crime.Â
Barnes is charged with procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, indecent exposure, and being a fugitive from another state.
He is being held at the Hardin County jail.Â
