LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 26-year-old man was arrested after a fatal crash in Marion County Saturday morning, according to Kentucky State Police.
Police said a two-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of US 68 and Lebanon Bypass in Marion County at 9:53 a.m.Â
Justin Baron, 26, was traveling west on US 68 in a 2002 Dodge Ram. He tried to make a right turn at an intersection at a high rate of speed, but he lost control of his vehicle.
Police said Baron went across the intersection and crashed into a 2010 GMC Sierra that was stopped at a traffic light. William Norris, 55, was driving the GMC Sierra.
Norris, of Loretto, died at the scene. Shirley Norris, 82, was also riding in the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Baron was treated and released from the hospital after suffering minor injuries in the crash. He was then arrested by Marion County Sheriff's Office on charges related to an incident prior to the crash, according to police.
KSP said additional charges relating to the crash are forthcoming from KSP.
