LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died Saturday morning after being hit by a car on Dixie Highway.
LMPD spokesman Matthew Sanders said officers responded to the 12800 block of Dixie Highway, near Christi's Cafe, on a report of a pedestrian struck just before 5 a.m.
Officers located a man there in his mid-40s who was "beyond help." Witnesses told police that the man was operating an electric scooter in the northbound lanes of Dixie Highway when he was hit.
The driver stayed on scene and no charges are anticipated at this time, Sanders said.
