LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County Public Schools bus driver was sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a crash in Jeffersontown.

A spokesperson for the district said they were told the driver's injuries were minor.

There were no injuries to the 15 students on board bus #1309, from Tully Elementary School.

Jeffersontown police said the crash happened at 2:41 p.m. at the intersection of Stony Brook Drive and Biggin Hill Drive. That's not far from the AMC Stonybrook 20 movie theater and South Hurstbourne Parkway.

Police said the bus was on Stony Brook Drive when it was hit by another vehicle. The bus driver was transported to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the bus was not hurt.

Jeffersontown police said the students were transferred to another JCPS bus and the route home resumed "without further incident."

The intersection has since reopened to traffic.
