LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Obtaining a marriage license in Jefferson County will soon be a little easier.Â
Starting this Friday, Feb. 14, couples will be able to search for and request their marriage license online through a new system at the Jefferson County Clerk's office.
The system will allow you to request certified copies of marriage licenses from 1992 to present day.
Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw said the new technology should reduce wait times with fewer people having to come into the office.
"We are committed to making our services more accessible and convenient for the residents of Jefferson County," Holsclaw said in a news release.
