LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No one was injured after a fire broke out at a home in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood Friday evening.
Louisville Fire & Rescue Capt. Donovan Sims said crews responded to a fire in the 600 block of Lindell Avenue at 8 p.m.
Firefighters found a home on fire and there were no nearby exposures at risk.
Sims said firefighters conducted an interior attack and confirmed there was no one inside. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes by 30 firefighters.
According to Sims, the fire was started by an unattended candle.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the eight displaced adults and two pets.
