LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 19-year-old man was arrested in connection with a shooting in Louisville's Park DuValle neighborhood.
Officers were called before 5:30 p.m. March 26 to the 1500 block of South 30th Street just on a reported shooting, according to Officer Adam Sears, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police.
When officers arrived, they found two people — a 17-year-old boy and an adult man — who had been shot. Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
According to court documents, Darryl Goodwin was one of the victims in the shooting.
Police said they found a stolen gun in the area of the shooting, and video footage showed Goodwin allegedly holding it.
Goodwin is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and receiving stolen property (firearm).
Court documents state Goodwin was one of four juveniles in 2024 who escaped from Mayfield Youth Detention Center. Kentucky State Police said he was found a few hours later.
Goodwin was sentenced Feb. 11, 2025, as an adult to four years in prison on charges of fleeing or evading police and criminal mischief. According to court documents, he was granted parole on Dec. 1, 2025, in Jefferson County.
