LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A rare 1914 Boston “Miracle” Braves World Series ring and Hall of Fame jockey Calvin Borel’s Kentucky Derby trophies headline Lelands’ 2026 Spring Classic Auction, running through April 18.
The ring belonged to Red Smith, part of the Braves team that stunned baseball in 1914 by rising from last place midseason and sweeping the Philadelphia Athletics in the World Series.
Only three rings from that championship team are known to exist, each with a unique design that collectors believe reflects custom creation rather than standard issue.
Another key highlight is a sealed 1957-58 Topps basketball wax pack graded NM 7, part of a landmark set led by rookie cards of Bill Russell.
Horse racing items from Calvin Borel stand out in the auction, including Kentucky Derby trophies from 2007, 2009 and 2010 along with the race-used saddle from each winning ride.
Modern-era headliners include game-worn jerseys from Victor Wembanyama and Aaron Judge, plus a game-used baseball tied to a milestone moment from Shohei Ohtani.
The auction runs through April 18 online.
