LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --They're called man's best friend for a reason. A lot of people consider the bond they have with their pets to be more special than with some human members of the family.Ā

People take walks with the dog, play with them and talk to them. Aside from a bark, they can't exactly do much talking back. Has anyoneĀ ever wondered whatĀ their dog is thinking? How long could they actually play fetch? Is all that shaking after a drink necessary?

There's a Louisville lady that can answer all of those questions:Ā a Derby City dog whisperer named Latifa Meena.

"It's a psychic gift ability," Meena said.

Over the years, she's gotten national attention for being able to tell owners what their animals are thinking, how they're feeling and why they do certain things.

"My job is just to translate what they say," she explained.

Some people are into it, whileĀ others aren't believers.Ā

WDRB's Chris SutterĀ decided to put Meena's skills to the test, but he had to have a little help from his dog, Manny. Manny and Meena seemed to have a connection, and it didn't take long to get the conversation going.Ā Manny told her about his dislikes and likes.

"He got something, like turkey or chicken or some white meat, and he's like 'yeah man'," Meena said.

He also apparently told Latifa about things onlyĀ Chris and his wife would know about.

Latifa made reference to an animal that Manny has had previously conflict with.

She said, "He doesn't like the orange and white cat outside your house. Do you know who that is?"

"Yes the stray cat," Sutter exclaimed in recognition.

Call her a genius or give her a "ruff" time; one thing you can't deny is how many believers Meena makes every day.

If you'd like to get in touch with the Animal Psychic, you can email herĀ at friends@animalscantalk.com.

MeenaĀ conducts sessions in person and over the phone. The animal can be alive or deceased.
