LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities in Oldham County said a missing 5-year-old boy has been found safe after about three hours.

Oldham County Emergency Management said the boy, named Luca, was last seen in the Westport area on 3rd Street. Authorities had already been searching for two hours as of 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities said he eventually came out of a hiding spot at his grandmother's house after it was searched 4-5 times but no one could find him.

He has purple hair and was last seen wearing a black and white long-sleeved shirt and jean shorts.
