LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men were shot and killed in Louisville's Algonquin neighborhood early Friday morning.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson John Bradley, the shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway around 2:30 a.m.

Officers arrived on scene to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both taken to UofL Hospital, where they later died.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. Bradley said all parties are accounted for at this time, but investigators still need the public's help.
