LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Jennings County High School senior died Thursday in a rollover crash in Spencer Township.
According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office, dispatch received a 911 call at 6:41 a.m. Aug. 13 about a single-vehicle crash.
Police said a pickup truck left the north side of the roadway, overcorrected, crossed the roadway and left the south side of the roadway before rolling over multiple times.
The victim was identified as Austin Luedeman, 18, of North Vernon. He died at the scene.
Police said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have contributed to the crash.
Luedeman was a senior at JCHS.
The school said in a social media post that he "was an exceptional student, known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and unwavering willingness to help others. His positive presence will be deeply missed by his classmates, teachers, and the entire school community."
