Motorcyclist dies in single-vehicle crash on I-265 in Fairdale

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 265 in Fairdale.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded around 10:45 a.m. to I-265 near New Cut Road to find the single-vehicle crash. The initial investigation — corroborated by witnesses, Ellis said — showed the motorcyclist lost control on eastbound I-265 and ran off the road.

Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the man dead on scene.

No other vehicles were involved. LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
