LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You might soon be able to get your caffeine fix through a bracelet.

A new caffeine bracelet, called Joule, delivers caffeine straight to your bloodstream. Simply strap it on, and the caffeine is absorbed through the skin. 

The product hasn't been released yet, but more than $56,000 has been raised to get the product off the ground. 

Joule's inventor says doses of caffeine are administered at regular intervals throughout the day to prevent overdosing. 

Plans are also in the works to produce a watch that delivers caffeine the same way.
