LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The New Jersey woman credited with stopping a school shooting in Kentucky visits the community she helped protect.
Koeberle Bull says she got threatening messages online from 20-year-old Dylan Jarrell, and reported them to KSP Trooper Josh Satterly.
Police say Jarrell made threats against Anderson and Shelby County Schools. Investigators arrested him as he was pulling out of his driveway with the tools they say he needed to carry out a school shooting.
Jarrell had a gun, 200 rounds of ammunition, and a detailed plan of attack, police say.
Bull said this has taught her if you see something, it's important to say something.
"A million of them probably are nothing, but it's going to be that one that you choose to ignore, that ends up being the next tragedy of this country and it's not okay," Bull said.
Governor Matt Bevin named both Bull and Trooper Satterly Kentucky Colonels. The two were also part of the Lawrenceburg Christmas Parade Saturday night.
