LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gas station in southern Indiana caught fire on Monday night.

According to Tri-Township Fire & Rescue Captain Darius Mousavi, crews were called to the 7300 block of Appleleaf Lane in Sellersburg just before midnight. When they arrived, they found the Sunoco gas station fully engulfed in flames.

Multiple crews and agencies arrived on scene within minutes of the initial call. No injuries or fatalities were reported, according to Mousavi, and the fire was contained at 12:25 a.m.

A WDRB viewer sent in a photo of heavy smoke from the fire that was taken on Payne Koehler Road, which is just across Interstate 65 from the gas station.

No surrounding structures were damaged from the fire, Mousavi said.

The scene is under investigation by the state fire marshal's office.
