LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A large oak tree split and fell on six homes in Louisville's Wyandotte neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Louisville Fire Capt. Donovan Sims said crews responded to a large tree collapse in the 500 block of Longfield Avenue at 4:48 p.m. That's near south Louisville and Churchill Downs.

According to Sims, a massive oak tree split and fell on six homes. No residents were trapped or injured as result of the fallen tree.

As of 6:30 p.m., an LG&E outage map showed 41 customers in the area without power but it's expected to be restored by 11 p.m. Friday night.
