Norton Healthcare celebrates Christmas with NICU babies

Nurses worked hard to get the right shot. They said even though the babies don't get to be home for Christmas, they wanted to give the parents a normal Christmas atmosphere.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Norton Healthcare NICU babies celebrated their very first Christmas with an adorable holiday photoshoot.

The babies were dressed up in holiday outfits and posed for the camera. Some sat in little gift boxes while others wore Santa hats.

Nurses worked hard to get the right shot. They said even though the babies don't get to be home for Christmas, they wanted to give the parents a normal Christmas atmosphere.

"Everyone's really excited about it," said Norton NICU nurse Anngela Barton. "They've been overwhelmed with us doing this for them."

Norton currently has about 90 babies in the NICU.
