LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A nurse at the Bullitt County jail was arrested on drug trafficking charges.

Dianna Kihnley was a contract employee working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the jail, and Bullitt County officials said Kihnley used her position to smuggle in and sell suboxone to inmates for about two months earlier this year.

Inmates reported it, and the jail started an investigation.

Kihnley is charged with trafficking drugs, promoting contraband and tampering with physical evidence. The Bullitt County jailer said she was taken to Louisville Metro Corrections because of her conflict with working at the Bullitt County jail.

Her bond was set at $5,000 cash, and she posted it Wednesday. She's expected to be arraigned next week.
