LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The National Weather Service confirmed an EF1 tornado caused damage Sunday night in some central Kentucky counties.

The damage track was found in Grayson, Hardin and Meade counties, confirming the EF1 tornado.

Several watches and warnings in Kentuckiana went into effect Sunday evening, bringing rain, thunder and lighting and high, damaging winds to the area.

In addition, the NWS said there was also some straight line wind damage, which is taking some time to sort through. The high winds left thousands around Kentuckiana without power Sunday night and some into Monday morning.

The NWS will survey the damage in Nelson County on Thursday. The survey in Bullitt County is complete, but the NWS hasn't released its findings there.
