LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — It's been one week since the shooting at the H2O Lounge where one person died and seven more were injured.
Saturday evening, dozens of people gathered to hold a vigil for the victims. Joseph Bowers, an Indianapolis man, died at the nightclub.
"People say they get tired of these vigils. They get tired of this on and on. Is it ever going to change?" MeShorn T. Danniels, a community activist, said. "It's going to change when we unify together."
Sir Friendly C Barker, a retired police officer and west Louisville advocate, hosted the vigil on West Broadway across from H2O Lounge.
More than a few dozen attended, including pastors, business owners, and concerned citizens. Some spoke and others sang.
Police are still looking for the person responsible for killing Bowers.Â
This week, they released pictures of the car they say drove away from the scene.
