LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Louisville man held up a bank near Churchill Downs Thursday afternoon, but he didn't get far with the cash.

According to the arrest report, it happened around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 18. That's when police say 70-year-old James Larry Kidwell entered the PNC Bank at 3100 S. 4th Street. Police say he showed the teller a note indicating he was armed with a gun and demanded money. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, Kidwell left on foot.

Kidwell was arrested by the LMPD Viper Unit a few minutes later as he was getting on a TARC bus.
