LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana will cut more than 100 state jobs as it tries to shore up a $2 billion shortfall in the state budget.

Cuts are also projected in the Office of Commerce and Department of Education. The cuts align with Gov. Mike Braun's strategic goals and the Office of Commerce's new budget.

Officials said 49 positions have been reduced since January at the Office of Commerce, and 12 of those positions were eliminated.

At the Department of Education, 39 positions have been eliminated and an additional 43 will not be filled.
