LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said Thursday that the state's "real property tax rate" dropped for the fourth consecutive year.Â
In a news release Thursday, Beshear said the rate is decreasing to 10.9 cents per $100 of assessed value this year. That's down from 11.4 cents last year.
Beshear said the decrease was a result of an increase in assessed value that led to a large increase in revenue.
The decrease would amount to about a $5 difference on a $100,000 home.
