LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB/WBKO) — Some Indiana consumers could get money back as part of a settlement with a generic drug company accused of raising prices.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita announced the settlement with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Thursday. The company "allegedly conspired to inflate prices and limit competition," the release said.
The settlement totals about $154,000, according to Rokita's office.
"We continue holding Big Pharma accountable when they harm Hoosiers by putting profits over people," Rokita said. "These companies must be made to honor their ethical and legal obligations to consumers."
People who bought certain generic prescription drugs between May 1, 2009, and Dec 31, 2019, may qualify for a share of the settlement.
