LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Salvation Army in southern Indiana will accept applications for the Angel Tree program beginning Oct. 1.
This is for families living in Floyd, Clark, Crawford, Scott, Harrison and Washington counties. Angel Tree provides clothing and gifts for children from birth to age 16.
Online registration is available from Oct. 1-31. The application is available in English and Spanish. Southern Indiana families can apply online here.
A limited number of in-person application appointments are available in each county. Only one person from each household may attend the in-person appointment. Applicants must wear a mask and have all required documents with them.
Documents include ID for head of household, proof of address for head of household, birth certificate or custody documents for each child from birth to age 16 and all clothing and shoe sizes for each child registered.
Families in Floyd, Clark or Harrison counties can call 812-944-1018 to request an in-person application appointment.
In Crawford County, drop-in appointments will be available at Marengo United Methodist Church, 1449 N. Hardy Road. Individuals can drop-in to complete an application Oct. 18-22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Oct. 19 from 4-7 p.m.
Families in Washington County can call 812-844-2706 to request an in-person application appointment.Â
In Scott County, in-person applications will be accepted each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday beginning Sept. 28 to Nov. 2. In-person applications can be completed at Church of the New Covenant, 1054 Clay St., in Austin. Call 812-498-3137 with any questions about in-person applications in Scott County.
