LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana fire department rescued several animals from a house fire Monday.
Tri-Township Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire in the 11000 block of U.S. Route 31 around 3 p.m.
Once firefighters arrived on scene, firefighters found a single-story home with smoke showing from a side. Firefighters searched the home as they suppressed the fire.
Firefighters rescued four dogs and a cat.
One dog was taken to a local veterinary hospital.
