LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Starbucks is making big changes. The coffee company says it will make schedule changes to benefit the baristas.

Recently, a single mom said her constantly-changing schedule made it difficult to arrange childcare and to complete her degree.

Starbucks executives decided to update scheduling software to make schedules more consistent.

The new system will require managers to post schedules at least a week in advance.

Officials hope these changes will help the company's more than 130,000 baristas across the nation.
