LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fans of aviation and beer got to spread their wings Saturday and take part in a popular Louisville tradition.

The 12th annual Tailspin Ale Fest was held at Bowman Field. There were more than 250 craft beers, live music, a cigar lounge, bourbon and lots of planes.

The charity partner this year was Pints for Parkinson's, which also paid tribute to Muhammad Ali. The beers were from local, regional and national breweries.

"They add something new every year," said Todd Antz, a gate volunteer. "Two years now of professional wrestling, the bands, there is so much good beer here to drink, wine, there's seltzer's, there's ciders. You can't make it through here and get even close to touching everything."

The Tailspin Ale Fest has been named one of the Top 10 beer festivals of the year by USA Today. There are usually more than 5,000 people in attendance.
