LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 17-year-old boy was identified Wednesday as the victim of a fatal shooting earlier this month in Louisville's Parkland neighborhood.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Shawn'tae'veion Bullitt died at UofL Hospital on May 1 after being shot at 28th Street and Garland Avenue in west Louisville, not far from Elliot Park and Brandeis Elementary School.
Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for the Louisville Metro Police Department, said officers were called to the area around 4 p.m. on a reported shooting. Once on scene, police found Bullitt, who had been shot multiple times, Mitchell said.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
