LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There's a new arrest in the story of a 14-year-old Louisville girl stabbed to death, but it's not for the fight that took Madison Branch's life Monday evening.

Instead, Branch's mother's boyfriend, James Roberts, is accused of retaliation. 

The suspect's home was attacked Wednesday. Tiffany James is in jail, but her grandparents say someone shot up their house and bashed out a window.

"They threw a brick in there, woke everyone up, knocked my TV over and my computer out," said Tiffany James' grandfather James Taylor.

Roberts was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment. 

The war between the two families is playing out like Mean Girls meets the Hatfields and the McCoys. 

Both sides are pointing their fingers at each other, accusing the other of bullying.

Video of the fight that ended Branch's life surfaced online. In the video, she is seen in black and 19-year-old Tiffany James is shown in green. As they peel from the group in the midst of a brawl, James goes down and allegedly pulls out a knife. Branch has someone on her back from behind.  

"You stabbed me bro!" Madison Branch screams in the video. "You stabbed me!"

Tiffany James' loved ones said it was self defense, claiming Tiffany James was sticking up for her younger sister who's long been tormented through social media and texts by Madison Branch's friends 

"They keep sending, 'Summer kill yourself! Kill yourself and do the world a favor!'" said Taylor.

Branch's family continues to say the 14-year old was not the bully. 

"It's crazy -- crazy around here!" said Buster Branch, the victim's grandfather. "I just can't understand it."

Buster Branch believes Roberts was set up for the damage to James' family home.

"No bullets, no shells and charging him with possession of a handgun and a drive-by," Buster Branch said. "I'm sorry, that's [EXPLETIVE]."

The victim's family members said they've received taunting messages on Facebook from James' loved ones including a post calling Branch a "whore." 

Now both sides are calling for peace as Madison Branch's family tries to raise funds for her funeral.

 "Violence is not the answer. Violence is not the right way," said Madison Branch's aunt, Christy Branch. "We want justice for my niece, and we're going to get it the right way."

"Somebody else is going to get killed or hurt if this does not stop," said Charlene Taylor, Tiffany James' grandmother.
