FARMLAND, Ind. (AP) -- Police in eastern Indiana say two 17-year-olds were killed when the car they were in was struck by a train and a third teenager was injured.

The Star Press reports police in Farmland, about 15 miles east of Muncie, were investigating the collision that occurred about 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Police says two of the teenagers were trapped in the car and a third was ejected.

Police were withholding the names of the two teenagers who were killed pending notification of family. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say an 18-year-old was flown by medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, and was listed in fair condition.
