LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A toddler possibly drowned in south Louisville Wednesday afternoon.

John Bradley, a spokesman for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded on a drowning or near drowning about 2:15 p.m. in the 3400 block of Ripple Creek Drive.  That's in a neighborhood off Interstate 65 south of Okolona.

Police said a route was set up to Norton Children's Downtown Hospital. The status of the toddler is unknown at this time.

No criminal charges are expected, police said.
