LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Hillview said a 12-year-old boy who was missing for several hours was found safe. 

According to a post on the Hillview Police Department Facebook page, Jackson Levi Parker "has been safely located." 

Police said Monday they believe Jackson left home on his own Sunday morning before being found around 10:45 p.m. He was brought back to Hillview, where he'll be reunited with family.

Hillview police thanked the community for the tips that helped lead to a safe recovery.
