LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Julie Dolan, a longtime journalist with years of experience reporting and anchoring in Louisville, is joining WDRB News.
Dolan, a six-year veteran in the Louisville news market with previous stops in Evansville, Lexington and Cincinnati, will anchor and report for WDRB and WDRB+ with new expanded programming on the streaming platform.
"I am eager to get started and join the team at WDRB News, and I'm thrilled to work alongside some of the hardest working journalists in Louisville," Dolan said. "I've been a fan from my living room this past year, and it's clear WDRB encompasses all of the values I've come to appreciate— journalistic integrity, joyful camaraderie among colleagues and a passion for breaking news. I can only hope to learn and grow here, and I look forward to telling Louisvillian's stories again soon!"
Dolan brings years of experience to WDRB as well, in both hard news reporting and a trust with viewers on the anchor desk. She is returning to journalism after taking extended time off to focus on her family as she and her husband welcomed their third child earlier this year.
"Julie is a stellar journalist who knows and cares about our community," WDRB News Director Jennifer Keeney said. "When news breaks, she is the voice of calm. But she also has the ability to make us laugh at the light-hearted moments. All of us at WDRB are thrilled that she chose to make this her home."
