LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A person died 10 days after a three-car crash on Poplar Level Road in August 2025.

Louisville Metro Police Officer Adam Sears said there was a crash on Aug. 2, 2025, in the area of Poplar Level Road and Audubon Parkway near the hospital.

According to police, one car hit another, causing a chain reaction that involved a third car. The driver of the first car was taken to UofL Hospital for injuries at the time of the incident, which at the time weren't considered serious.

LMPD said Kentucky State Police told them Tuesday that the victim died from their injuries on Aug. 12. One of the drivers refused medical treatment, and the third took themselves to a hospital to be checked out.

No alcohol was involved and no charges are likely, police said.
