JCPS cancels school for Monday and Tuesday as it continues to work on transportation issues

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) has canceled classes for students on Monday, Aug. 14 and Tuesday, Aug. 15 as it attempts to fix major transportation issues.
As featured on
Wednesday, Aug. 9, was the first day of school for JCPS students. However, some students didn't get home until almost 10 p.m. amid new bus routes and school start times.
