Judge throws out lawsuit against LMPD officer who hit man during 2020 protests

A Louisville judge on Friday threw out a lawsuit against the city and a former officer who hit a man in the back of the head with a baton while he was kneeling with his hands up during the 2020 protests.

Martin Chester was kneeling and surrendering when former officer Cory Evans struck him with his police baton during the Breonna Taylor protests in May 2020. Evans was later convicted.
