LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Seven former employees of BlueOval SK filed a lawsuit against the company.
The complaint alleges disability, race and sex discrimination. It also claims retaliation, failure to accommodate and a hostile work environment.
The lawsuit comes just weeks after BlueOval SK’s CEO announced that all 1,600 employees at the Hardin County electric vehicle battery plant would be laid off.
Ford plans to convert the Glendale facility into a battery-storage operation.
The legal action underscores ongoing tensions as workers and communities adjust to changes in the EV industry, especially amid rapid expansions and layoffs at high-tech manufacturing sites.
