LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in the city's Shelby Park neighborhood Monday evening.
Officers were called to a reported shooting in the 900 block of East Oak Street — near Logan Street and Shelby Parkway — just after 7 p.m., department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.Â
Once on scene, police found a woman with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a business. Ellis said officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the woman dead.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation, but had no known suspects and had made no arrests.
