LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after two people were injured in a car accident Thursday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., officers responded to a reported car accident at 3rd Street Road and West Manslick Road, LMPD Spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
After speaking to witnesses through their investigation, police believe a woman and her passenger, another woman, were headed westbound on 3rd Street Road when a car traveling eastbound crossed over the double line and hit the westbound car head-on.
The women in the westbound vehicle were taken to University of Louisville Hospital. Ellis said the driver's injuries are life-threatening, and her passenger's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The driver of the eastbound car was not injured.
