Authorities believe the 84-year-old mother of āTodayā show host Savannah Guthrie was kidnapped, abducted or otherwise taken against her will. The Pima County sheriff says itās imperative Nancy Guthrie is found soon because she could die without her medication. Guthrie was last seen around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at her home in the Tucson, Arizona, area where she lived alone. Guthrie had limited mobility and officials donāt believe she left on her own. The sheriff says it was Guthrie was of sound mind and her disappearance is not dementia-related.
NBC āTodayā show host Savannah Guthrie say her family is ready to talk to people holding their mother, but they want to see proof that she is alive. Guthrie said in a recorded video posted on social media Wednesday that her family has heard about a ransom letter in media reports. Nancy Guthrie was last seen Saturday around 9:45 p.m. when she was dropped off at home by family after having dinner with them. She was reported missing midday Sunday after she didnāt appear at a church. Authorities on Wednesday offered no detailed update on their search
