UofL said in a news release Monday that it registered 447 new organ, eye and tissue donors in November.
The third annual tournament will be held on Dec. 9.
The two universities are participating in the Gift of Life College Challenge for the 22nd year, led by Donate Life Kentucky.
Local participants include the Big Four Bridge, Churchill Downs, Lynn Family Stadium, Louisville Slugger Field, the KFC Yum! Center and others.
The nonprofit is leading "Save My Human" campaign for people with dogs, cats, birds and horses.
Masks are required to visit the blood drive.
